The BMD-300-EVAL, BMD-301-EVAL and BMD-330-EVAL development boards are based on the same PCB; the BMD-350-EVAL is based on a similar PCB. Pins P0.09 and P0.10 on are routed by default to a connector used for a NFC antenna.
On the BMD-300-EVAL, BMD-301-EVAL, and BMD-350-EVAL, Pins P0.09 and P0.10 may be used either for NFC or GPIO.
On the BMD-330-EVAL, NFC is not supported by the nRF52810 within the on-board BMD-330. Pins P0.09 and P0.10 are GPIO-only. On early builds of this Eval version, though, the NFC connector was included and the GPIO pins were not made available on the 0.1" header, J9.
In order to use P0.09 and P0.10 as GPIO on the any of these Eval boards, make the following change:
- Solder across J09 and J10, also as noted in the image below.
- Note the 300pF capacitors, C2 and C3. For most slow-speed GPIO use, these capacitors will not have any effect. If these pins are used for higher-speed assignments, then remove R1 and R2 in order to isolate the NFC connector and matching capacitors from the GPIO pins.
