Achieving a low power design is typically very important for BLE projects.
For the BMD-200-EVAL boards, the ‘JCUR’ header provides an easy connection to a current measuring shunt resistor (R20, 1Ω, 1%). The mV across this resistor is equal the mA being used by the BMD-200. Peripheral ICs and current sunk into GPIO pins are not accounted for. A multimeter in current mode can also be used to measure the current by depopulating the ‘R20’ current sensor resistor and connecting the multimeter current inputs to CUR+ and CUR- on header ‘JCUR’
For the BMD-300-EVAL boards, J22 and J23 provide the same function as noted above. J22 is for the module current measurement. J23 is for the shield.
