Nordic Semiconductor's nRF5 SDK, v.11.0.0 and newer provide support for Keil uVision, GCC and IAR. The SDK provides a wide range of example firmware that exercise all of the peripherals on the nRF52 used within the BMD-300 Series and the nRF51 on the BMD-200.
All of these development tools and examples can be used as-is with our BMD-300 Series as all of the GPIO pins are available on the module. There are a few nRF51 pins that are not available on the BMD-200. Development for the BMD-200 needs to take this into account.
Our BMD-300 Evaluation Kit a J-Link-OB debugging interface that is capable of connecting to your target hardware as well. Refer to Segger’s documentation.
Beyond the usual tools for the nRF52, we provide the following preloaded on the BMD-300:
- RigDFU - secure bootloader,
- Rigablue - iOS and Android libraries
- BMDware - beacon & UART-BLE bridge. You may be able to use our BMDware without any additional development. Here's a link to the BMDware Datasheet.
