There are two requirements set out by the Bluetooth SIG in order to use the Bluetooth name or logo in conjunction with a product:
Membership in the Bluetooth SIG is required. There are several levels of membership to the Bluetooth SIG, starting at free.
All products that use the Bluetooth name, logo or other identifying collateral are required to be declared with the Bluetooth SIG. The SIG charges a fee for each product listing. The fee schedule can be found here.
Our Rigado modules are tested as a "RF PHY" certified component. This, coupled with the MCU manufacturers' Link Layer and HCI certified components provide the necessary parts to complete a product declaration with the SIG. Follow this article for obtaining declarations for designs incorporating a Rigado module.
NOTE: As of January 28, 2018, the Bluetooth SIG is deprecating all prior versions of the specification up to an including v4.1. Please see this information on the Bluetooth SIG website.
